Vanda lombokensis sp. is a highly coveted, pure species orchid endemic to the tropical island of Lombok in Indonesia. As a true, unhybridized species rather than a manufactured cross, this rare botanical jewel is deeply prized by collectors for its wild heritage, robust epiphytic growth habit, and exotic, leopard-like patterns.

  • Showcases a striking cream or yellowish-green background intricately blanketed with intense red-brown or maroon spots, beautifully contrasted by a pronounced, colorful lip.
  • Produces multiple showy, thick, and waxy blossoms that grow in stunning clusters along gracefully arching spikes, emitting a strong, sweet fragrance often reminiscent of cloves or tobacco spice.

  • Requires bright, indirect sunlight to successfully trigger flower spikes. Provide filtered morning sunlight while shading the plant from harsh, direct midday rays to avoid leaf scorching.
  • Needs an abundant supply of water paired with excellent drainage and rapid drying cycles. Keep the root system consistently moist but never wet or waterlogged, allowing bare roots or coarse media to dry slightly between waterings.
  • Thrives in warm to intermediate conditions, ideally maintaining daytime temperatures between 18°C and 32°C (65–90°F). Ensure high humidity levels along with good air circulation, and shield the plant from freezing winter drafts.
