Phalaenopsis Care Guide

Phalaenopsis orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Flowering require bright indirect light. Learn more about light here

 Watering

Please be careful with the watering as the Sphagnum moss medium retains too much moisture. The medium could take up to a week to dry. Other medium like Pine bark dries within 1 or 2 days. Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. So always touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant.  Learn more about watering here

Fertilizing

Weekly once with Bio-20 or Basfoliar 19:19:19 for growth and rooting. Once a month with Basfoliar 13-40-13. Learn more about fertilizing here

Description

Phalaenopsis Sarcasm is loved for its uncommon peach yellow gradient tones and exquisite sunset coloration, this unique hybrid produces lovely pastel blooms that form graceful cascading inflorescences as the plant matures. We are constantly in search of rare, hard to find hybrid colors to bring exceptional beauty to your collection.

🌸 Flower Specialties

  • Rare Peach-Yellow Gradient & Sunset Coloration: Displays breathtaking, uncommon pastel tones featuring a smooth blend of dusty-rose, peach, and yellow shades with lower petals softly fading into a warm cream yellow base.

  • Intricate Golden Lip: Showcases a striking labellum (lip) marked with bold, intricate orange brown stripes and speckles over a golden yellow canvas, anchoring the pastel petals beautifully.

  • Cascading Inflorescence: Mature plants gracefully display their well-placed blooms as the flowering spikes lengthen and cascade over the years.

  • Immense Longevity: Individual blooms are exceptionally long-lasting, persisting on the spike for 2 to 3 months under normal home conditions.

🌿  Care Guide

  • Light & Positioning: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight or semi shade (ideal for east facing windows or shaded south/west exposures). Sensitive to strong direct midday sun, which can scorch the leaves. Ensure good air circulation if grown indoors.

  • Watering Strategy: Exercise care with watering since the potting medium can retain moisture. Touch and feel the mix, or check roots through a clear pot: silvery white roots mean the plant needs water, while vibrant green roots mean it is hydrated. Thoroughly drench and let drain completely; never let it sit in standing water, and note that the medium may take up to a week to dry.

  • Temperature & Humidity: Keep your home environment comfortable between 18°C and 29°C. To trigger annual reblooming, expose the plant to slightly cooler night temperatures (13°C–15°C) for a few weeks in autumn. Maintain household humidity of 50% or higher using a pebble tray or humidifier.

Kindly note, the orchid images presented here capture blooms nurtured under optimal conditions. Variations in appearance can and do occur as a response to environmental conditions, most notably factors such as ambient temperature, the type of fertilizer used, and light exposure. We sincerely appreciate your understanding that each orchid bloom is unique, reflecting its own individual beauty that may differ from the sample images shown.
