Phalaenopsis Care Guide

Phalaenopsis orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Flowering require bright indirect light. Learn more about light here

 Watering

Please be careful with the watering as the Sphagnum moss medium retains too much moisture. The medium could take up to a week to dry. Other medium like Pine bark dries within 1 or 2 days. Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. So always touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant.  Learn more about watering here

Fertilizing

Weekly once with Bio-20 or Basfoliar 19:19:19 for growth and rooting. Once a month with Basfoliar 13-40-13. Learn more about fertilizing here

Description

The Phalaenopsis Lianher Milkfish is a magnificent, highly prized hybrid orchid famous for its showstopping "Harlequin" color styling. Characterized by dramatic, high-contrast patterning and incredibly robust blooms, this variety is an exceptional performer indoors. It makes a luxurious, visually captivating statement piece for any home, bright office, or orchid collection.

✨ Flower Specialties

  • Harlequin Patterning: The most defining characteristic is the stark, dramatic contrast of intense maroon purple splotches over a crisp, white base.

  • Exotic Genetic Mutation: This striking look stems from historic breeding anomalies (originating from the famous Golden Peoker hybrid) that cause random, hyper pigmented patches instead of uniform shades.

  • Completely Unique: Because the spot distribution is highly variable, no two individual flower spikes look completely identical your plant will be one of a kind!

  • Exceptional Longevity: The blooms feature a thick, robust texture, allowing a single flower spike to remain open and pristine for 1 to 3 months under standard indoor environments.

🪴Care Guide

  • ☀️ Light & Placement: Position your orchid in bright, indirect light (east-facing or shaded south/west windows are ideal). Keep it completely out of harsh, direct midday sunlight to prevent permanent leaf scorch.

  • 💧 Moisture & Watering: Water only when the potting medium (sphagnum moss or bark mix) feels mostly dry to the touch. Ensure the pot has functional drainage holes and never allow the roots to sit in stagnantly pooled water to avoid root rot.

  • 🌡️ Temperature & Humidity: Favors intermediate to warm indoor environments between 18°C and 32°C. Provide mild ambient humidity; if your room air runs dry, place the pot on a shallow tray filled with wet pebbles to naturally elevate the moisture levels.

Kindly note, the orchid images presented here capture blooms nurtured under optimal conditions. Variations in appearance can and do occur as a response to environmental conditions, most notably factors such as ambient temperature, the type of fertilizer used, and light exposure. We sincerely appreciate your understanding that each orchid bloom is unique, reflecting its own individual beauty that may differ from the sample images shown.
