Phalaenopsis Care Guide

Phalaenopsis orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Flowering require bright indirect light. Learn more about light here

 Watering

Please be careful with the watering as the Sphagnum moss medium retains too much moisture. The medium could take up to a week to dry. Other medium like Pine bark dries within 1 or 2 days. Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. So always touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant.  Learn more about watering here

Fertilizing

Weekly once with Bio-20 or Basfoliar 19:19:19 for growth and rooting. Once a month with Basfoliar 13-40-13. Learn more about fertilizing here

Description

Meet the breathtaking Phalaenopsis Charming Dalmatian, a magnificent harlequin miniature hybrid celebrated for its unique spotted patterns, peloric large-lipped structure, and artistic flair. Blending modern breeding techniques with effortless indoor charm, no two blooms on this plant are ever identical.

🌸 Flower Specialty

  • Harlequin Mutation & Dalmatian Spots: Displays a clean white or pale pink base covered in dense, unique purple-red to deep magenta splashes, creating a classic spotted effect.

  • Peloric Large-Lip Form: Showcases a large-lipped, peloric flower structure that highlights the best of modern orchid breeding.

  • Snowflake Uniqueness: Genetic expression guarantees a completely unique spot distribution on every individual bloom.

  • Sturdy Substance & Longevity: Thick, waxy petals make the flowers resilient to environmental shifts, remaining pristine on the spike for 8 to 12 weeks.

🌿 Comprehensive Care Guide

  • Light & Placement: Provide bright, indirect filtered light (such as an East-facing window) with good air circulation. Aim for bright olive-green leaves—dark forest green signals insufficient light, while yellow or scorched spots indicate too much sun.

  • Precision Watering: Water thoroughly with room-temperature water only when the medium is partially dry and roots turn silvery gray (usually every 7 to 10 days). Avoid watering if roots are plump and green, and never let water sit in the leaf crown to prevent fatal crown rot.

  • Climate & Blooming Triggers: Keep daytime temperatures between 21°C and 29°C. Expose the plant to a consistent 4°C to 6°C drop at night (down to 16°C–18°C) for 3 to 4 weeks in autumn to trigger new flower spikes.

Kindly note, the orchid images presented here capture blooms nurtured under optimal conditions. Variations in appearance can and do occur as a response to environmental conditions, most notably factors such as ambient temperature, the type of fertilizer used, and light exposure. We sincerely appreciate your understanding that each orchid bloom is unique, reflecting its own individual beauty that may differ from the sample images shown.
