Oncidium orchids grow well under medium light. However certain hybrids from Thailand can even grown in bright indirect light. Learn more about light here 

 Watering

Please be careful with the watering as the Sphagnum moss medium retains too much moisture. The medium could take up to a week to dry. Other medium like Pine bark dries within 1 or 2 days. Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. Fertilizing

🌿  Care Guide

  • Light Requirements: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight (ideal near an east-facing window or shaded south/west exposure). Look for light olive green leaves as an indicator of perfect light levels; dark forest green indicates insufficient light.

  • Temperature & Humidity: Prefers intermediate to warm temperatures between 15°C and 27°C. Benefits from a mild 4°C to 5°C nighttime temperature drop in autumn to trigger brand-new flower spikes. Maintain 40% to 60% humidity using a pebble tray or humidifier.

  • Watering Strategy: Allow the potting substrate to dry out partially between waterings during active growth, ensuring the medium drains freely to keep the epiphytic root system healthy.
