Dendrobium orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Plants grown under ideal light will have apple green leaves and plants which are not getting enough light will have dark green leaves. Learn more about light here 

 Watering

In Coconut Husk medium water retention is more compared to Pine Bark, so plants in Coconut Husk may require once in 2-3 days watering compared to 1-2 days watering in Pine Bark.  Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. Fertilizing

  • Vibrant Contrast: Radiant golden-yellow petals and sepals contrasted sharply by a deep purple or magenta lip.

  • Splash Variation: Select variants feature pink-to-red color bleeding patterns on petal tips.

  • Profuse Blooms: A single mature spike (20–30 cm long) produces clusters of 10 to 15 flowers.

🌿Care Guide

  • Light: Bright, indirect sunlight. Mild morning sun is great, but protect from harsh midday heat.

  • Watering: Water thoroughly and let the medium almost completely dry between waterings. Avoid soggy roots.

  • Temperature: Thrives in warm to hot conditions between 20°C and 35°C.

  • Humidity: Prefers 50% to 80% humidity. Use a pebble tray or mist surrounding air if needed.

  • Potting Medium: Needs a fast-draining, porous mix like pine bark, charcoal, or coconut husk chunks.
