Dendrobium orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

Watering
In Coconut Husk medium water retention is more compared to Pine Bark, so plants in Coconut Husk may require once in 2-3 days watering compared to 1-2 days watering in Pine Bark. Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. So always touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant. Learn more about watering here
Fertilizing
Fertilizing your orchid regularly provides it with the nutrients it needs for optimal health, immunity and vigorous blooming. Weekly once with Bio-20 or Basfoliar 19:19:19 for growth and rooting. Once a month with Basfoliar 13-40-13. Learn more about fertilizing here

Brighten up your indoor garden with Dendrobium jenkinsii sp.! Native to southern China, the Himalayas, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar, this miniature orchid species features compact branching pseudobulbs that produce massive, golden-yellow blooms in the spring. While often confused with Dendrobium lindleyi, D. jenkinsii is easily distinguished by its more intimate, minimalist flower clusters and smaller growth habit.
🌸 Flower Specialties
-
Size Deception: The brilliant golden-yellow flowers are disproportionately massive compared to the plant's tiny, creeping pseudobulbs.
-
Distinct Lip: Each bloom features a large, velvety, fan-shaped lip with a deeper orange-yellow throat.
-
Elegant Flower Count: Unlike Dendrobium lindleyi, D. jenkinsii produces short spikes with only 1 to 3 flowers per cluster, giving it a refined, minimalist display.
-
Waxy Texture: The petals have a glossy, waxy substance that allows the blooms to remain fresh and vibrant for 2 to 3 weeks.
🌿Care Guide
-
Provide bright, filtered sunlight (similar to Cattleya orchids).
-
Healthy leaves should be a light green color; dark green indicates insufficient light, which prevents blooming.
-
Summer: Enjoys warm conditions between 24°C and 35°C.
-
Winter: Needs cooler night drops down to 10°C–15°C to induce spring flower buds.
