Short Description: Schomburgkia lueddemanniana sp. is a species native to southern Mexico, Central America, West Indies & Venezuela. Schomburgkia genus is now renamed as Myrmecophila. The name Myrmecophila is a derivative of the word myrmecophile and refers to the symbiotic relationship with colonies of ants that are usually found living in the large, hollowed-out, banana-like psudobulbs. Flowers are unique and have very long spikes, just like other schomburgkia's the flowers bloom in the sky. Flowers are waxy and are beautiful golden orange/rust.
