Cymbidium dayanum Red sp. is native to Eastern Himalayas, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Borneo, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Japan. Found in areas where they receive a lot of bright light and good air movement. This species likes the winter rest, and blooms in late summer to fall (August-September) with pendulous long almost 1 to 1.5 feet long inflorescences. This species likes to be watered well and does not like the medium to dry out completely, please ensure good aeration for the plants to grow well. Grow it in smaller pots.
