Widely nicknamed the "Cinnamon-scented Hoya," Hoya Lacunosa is a magnificent flowering species prized for its incredibly sweet, spicy perfume and compact, elegant foliage. It is an exceptionally easy-to-grow and rewarding choice for plant enthusiasts looking for an indoor vine that yields spectacular, heavily scented floral clusters month after month.

✨ Flower Specialties

  • Pillowy Clusters: The unique flowers grow in hanging, umbrella-like clusters (umbels) containing 15 to 30 tiny, miniature blooms. Each star looks fuzzy white or cream with a shiny crown, curling backwards tightly into soft, pillowy balls.

  • Signature Cinnamon Scent: Emits an intense, sweet, and spicy honey-and-cinnamon fragrance that strengthens significantly in the evening. A single flower cluster can easily perfume an entire room at night.

  • Perpetual Bloom Spurs: Flowers erupt from specialized, permanent woody stems called peduncles (or spurs). Never cut these off, as they will produce brand-new flower buds from the exact same spot year after year.

🪴 Quick Home Care Guide

  • ☀️ Light (The Blooming Trigger): High, indirect sunlight is essential to stimulate blooming. Place it right next to a north-east or east-facing window. Avoid harsh, direct afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorch. If it hasn't flowered after 18 months, move it closer to a light source.

  • 💧 Watering: Drench thoroughly, then allow the top 1 to 2 inches of soil to dry out completely before watering again. When dry, its thick leaves will feel slightly pliable or wrinkled. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

  • 🌡️ Humidity: Thrives best in 50% to 70% humidity. Keeping the air moist prevents young flower buds from drying up and dropping prematurely
