Cosmos is a whimsical, fast-growing annual plant celebrated for its airy elegance and daisy-like charm. Native to the sun-soaked meadows of Mexico, this low-maintenance garden favorite features delicate, fern-like foliage that sways gracefully in the breeze, serving as the perfect backdrop for its prolific and colorful blossoms.
🌸 Flower Specialty
  • Color: Showcases a vibrant, joyful palette that includes beautiful shades of soft pink, deep magenta, crimson red, bright orange, golden yellow, and pure white.
  • Display: Features delicate, open-faced daisy-like blossoms with a bright yellow central disc sitting gracefully atop tall, slender stems. These nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.
  • Climate / Bloom Duration: Thrives exceptionally well in hot, sunny, and semi-arid climates. It is a tireless bloomer that puts on a non-stop, abundant display from early summer all the way until the first frost of winter.
🌿 Care Guide
  • Light: Demands full sun, requiring at least 6 to 8 hours of direct daily sunlight. Strong light keeps the delicate stems strong and encourages the plant to pump out maximum flower buds.
  • Watering: Prefers a moderate to dry routine. Once established, cosmos are highly drought-tolerant; water thoroughly only when the top few inches of soil are dry, and avoid overwatering as soggy soil weakens the plant.
  • Temperature & Soil: Flourishes in warm summer temperatures ranging comfortably between 18°C and 30°C. It uniquely thrives in poor, sandy, or unfertilized, well-draining soil—too many nutrients or heavy fertilizers will cause the plant to produce lush green leaves but very few flowers.
