Short Description: Cattleya purpurata var. werkhauseri sp has lovely white flowers with slate blue lines on the lip. Cattleya (L.) purpurata sp. is an epiphyte, Cattleya species, that is found on tall trees near coastal areas in Brazil. The orchid favors bright light and warm conditions and is relatively easy to cultivate. C. purpurata has been used extensively as a parent in hybridizing.
