Dendrobium orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Plants grown under ideal light will have apple green leaves and plants which are not getting enough light will have dark green leaves. Learn more about light here

In Coconut Husk medium water retention is more compared to Pine Bark, so plants in Coconut Husk may require once in 2-3 days watering compared to 1-2 days watering in Pine Bark.  Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. Dendrobium To My Kids 'Snow White' AM/AOS is an elite, highly awarded soft cane Nobile orchid hybrid registered by Hirofumi Yamamoto in 1993. It is a sophisticated cross between Den. Hagoromo and Den. White Christmas, from the house of Yamamot. It carries the prestigious Award of Merit (AM) from the American Orchid Society (AOS), marking it as a true collector's masterpiece.
🌸 Flower Specialty
  • Color: Features highly reflective, glittery pure snow-white sepals and petals beautifully contrasted by a striking butter-yellow throat that deepens into a rich maroon or dark purple center, subtly finished with a slight pink tint at the tips of the petals.
  • Display: Produces an abundant quantity of large, well-formed flowers with remarkably thick petals. The blooms tightly blanket the nodes of its strong, upright canes. Because the 'Snow White' variety grows very large and flowers so profusely, it makes an excellent choice for eye-catching potted plants.
  • Fragrance & Bloom Duration: It carries a subtle, delightfully perfumed scent when smelled up close, reminiscent of classic fine fragrances. The exceptionally durable, heavy-textured blooms are long-lasting and easily endure for several weeks.
🌿 Care Guide
  • Light: Requires bright, filtered indirect sunlight. Provide high light levels during active growth, and move it to maximum brightness near a window during winter to help build energy for blooming.
  • Watering (Spring & Summer): Water regularly and moderately during the warm growing season to keep the roots hydrated. Keep the medium damp but ensure it never stays waterlogged.
  • Watering & Temperature (Winter Rest): To trigger its signature flower buds, provide a crucial cool winter drop down to 10°C–15°C (50°F–59°F) coupled with a strict dry winter rest period, cutting back regular watering significantly.
  • Potting Medium: Grows best in a highly aerated, fast-draining potting mixture.
