  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Plants grown under ideal light will have apple green leaves and plants which are not getting enough light will have dark green leaves. Learn more about light here

In Coconut Husk medium water retention is more compared to Pine Bark, so plants in Coconut Husk may require once in 2-3 days watering compared to 1-2 days watering in Pine Bark.  Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. Dendrobium densiflorum, commonly known as the Pineapple Orchid, is a spectacular species of Dendrobium native to a wide stretch of Asia, including China, Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. This robust species is known for its beautiful dark green stems with distinct grooves running along them and its evergreen leaves, which do not require a winter drop or rest season to survive.

🌸 Flower Specialty
  • Color: Produces a dazzling display featuring brilliant, golden-yellow sepals and petals contrasted by a deeply saturated, velvety orange-yellow lip.
  • Display: The flowers grow in magnificent, dense, pendulous bunches measuring about 20 to 35 cm long, perfectly mimicking the appearance of a hanging golden pineapple.
  • Bloom Duration: While the individual dense clusters are short-lived, they open dynamically all at once to create a jaw-dropping explosion of color.
🌿 Care Guide
  • Light: Requires bright, filtered indirect sunlight throughout the year. Strong light levels are essential to help mature the grooved canes and fuel its large, heavy bloom clusters.
  • Watering: Prefers regular watering during the active growing season to keep the potting medium evenly moist. Unlike other Nobile-types, it does not need a strict dry rest season, but watering should be slightly scaled back during the cooler months to let the medium dry out a bit more between waterings.
  • Temperature & Substrate: Thrives comfortably in intermediate to warm conditions. It grows best in an aerated, fast-draining potting mixture of coarse pine bark, charcoal, or perlite to keep its extensive root system healthy.
