Vanda Care Guide
Vandaceous plants require daily watering and in the summer probably twice a day. Spray the water on the roots until the grey roots turns green. You can also soak the roots once in a week with fertilizer water, if the plants appear dehydrated. Learn more about watering here
Vanda (Ren.) monachica x Asc. Curvifolium is a hybrid of the two miniature species. Since both the parents are miniatures, this variety remains compact. The parent Ren. monchika is also called as the Spanish dancing girl renanthera. The flowers of this hybrid can vary from orange to red, about 1" in size.
These orchids are all epiphytic. They do not like any potting medium. Vanda orchid must not be allowed to dry out entirely. Watering of this vandaceous species must be done with care to prevent water from remaining in the crowns (top leafs), a condition that can cause crown rot. Watering should be regular, everyday, allow the roots to dry a bit between watering. A continuous and strong air movement around the roots is very important for proper growth.
1. Colors, patterns & size of the flowers can vary due to the variations produced by hybrids or species.
2. There are chances that the buds/flowers could dry up in transit during Shipping after packing.
3. The local climatic conditions, season and the nutrition given can affect the brightness & colour intensity of flowers.
4. While we make every effort to match the actual colours of the flowers, the photographs may not be the exact representation, due to different monitor settings.
