Short Description: Vanda bensonii is a species native to the Indian subcontinent, Myanmar & Thailand. This species has superb rust-brown flowers with a complimentary lavender lip, the tessellations on the petals are just beautiful. An extremely rare species which is used as a parent in a lot of hybrids.
These orchids are all epiphytic. They do not like any potting medium. Vanda orchid must not be allowed to dry out entirely. Watering of this vandaceous species must be done with care to prevent water from remaining in the crowns (top leafs), a condition that can cause crown rot. Watering should be regular, everyday, allow the roots to dry a bit between watering.
Please refer plant pictures for size reference.
Note: Colors, patterns & size of the flowers can vary due to the variations produced by hybrids or species. There are chances that the buds/flowers could dry up in transit during Shipping after packing. The local climatic conditions and the nutrition given can affect the brightness & colour intensity of flowers. While we make every effort to match the actual colours of the flowers, the photographs may not be the exact representation, due to different monitor setting.
