Short Description: Aerides leeana is a species orchid native to the Philippines. Blooms in the spring, densly many flowered inflorescence, with fragrant, waxy, long-lived, pink-purple flowers. 

The word "Aerides" is also the common name of the Tower of the Winds in Athens, Greece. The name of the genus refers to the epiphytic growth habit of the species and literally means "air-plant"
