Short Description: Renanthera monachica is a miniature species native to the Philippines. The plant may seem small, but the plant is a matured plant. You could refer google images of plants with flowers. Pale orange, quite densely covered with irregular, blood-red dots on the flowers. A rare species!!!
These orchids are all epiphytic.They do not like any potting medium. Vanda orchid must not be allowed to dry out entirely. Saturate the roots with water overtime you water, that means the roots should turn green and retain a drop of water at the tip. Watering of this Vandas must be done with care to prevent water from remaining in the crowns ( top leafs), a condition that can cause crown rot.
