Short Description: Phalaenopsis venosa is a species phalanopsis orchid, Native to the Indonesian islands, Found as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte. Has glossy green leaves, Waxy flowers with a pearl white lip. Plants bloom in summer and fall. The fragrance of the flowers, rather smell reminds us of the crushed centipede. The medium or surrounding of this species in the wild is wet full year round so needs to be watered & fertilized throughout the year.
Phalaenopsis orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get sufficient amount of light & air circulation. Please be careful with the watering as the medium retains too much moisture. Touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant. The medium could take up to a week to dry.
