Short Description: Lycaste macrobulbon is native to Colombia, Venezuela & Northern Brazil and often found connected/ near places where Pit's Viper's nests exsist. Often epiphytic or lithophytic.Plants bloom in early spring before producing new growths, sweet fragrance, waxy, long lasting flowers. Plants were imported Bareroot, Potted in Pine bark & moss, Now available with fresh new growths.
The genus Lycaste enjoys good humidity in the pot, with good bright light, likes to dry out in the fall when its leaves begin to turn yellow and drop, prior to flowering. Once new growth appears in the spring, resume normal watering and fertilizing.
Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents. All plants have given new growths, and just started giving roots as they were imported bare-root.
Please refer plant pictures for size reference.
Note: Colors, patterns & size of the flowers can vary due to the variations produced by hybrids or species. There are chances that the buds/flowers could dry up in transit during Shipping after packing. The local climatic conditions and the nutrition given can affect the brightness & colour intensity of flowers. While we make every effort to match the actual colours of the flowers, the photographs may not be the exact representation, due to different monitor setting.
