Short Description: Grammatophyllum wallisii sp. is native to the Philippines. This form has flower spikes that are erect and not arching, with flowers to about 10 cm across. A large thick caned species, this species grows well in warm conditions, Grammatophyllum plants can also grow well in full sun too!. In warmer regions the plants do well hanging under a tree in the garden or in semi shade areas.
The plant as it grows older will form a basket of aerial roots, which is designed to catch falling leaves which will decompose and release nutrients and thus sustain the plant.
Please refer plant pictures for size reference.
