Short Description: Cattleya skinneri var. coerulea is a species native to central America, where it thrives in wet mountain forests, a compact growing species, flower color is a light beautiful lilac-blue, spring blooming. These plants were sourced bareroot, they have given new roots but have not yet anchored in the medium. These are species plants, please do not expect them to have fleshy psudobulbs and canes like the hybrid cattleyas.
A Vary rare selection of this species. Cattleya skinneri is the national flower of Costa Rica, where it is known as guaria mirada. normally a fully matured and settled plant produces 5 or more flowers on a spike, so the result is a marvelous display of flowers.
