Short Description: Cattleya (L.) purpurata sp. is an epiphyte, Cattleya species, that is found on tall trees near coastal areas in Brazil. The orchid favors bright light and warm conditions and is relatively easy to cultive. C. purpurata has been used extensively as a parent in hybridizing. Cattleya purpurata blooms from late spring to fall with three to five flowers on a spike. The flowers are long-lasting and fragrant. Very striking flowers, A stunning deep fuschia-red lip. Fragrant flowers. A late spring to early summer bloomer, Allow a drier winter rest and provide moderate light year round. A classic which belongs in every Cattleya species collection!
This batch of L. purpurata has been grown in higher intensity of light, so the leaves are light greenish/ yellow in colour. These plants are imported bareroot & then potted in pine bark with fresh new roots.
Please refer plant pictures for size reference.
Note: Colors, patterns & size of the flowers can vary due to the variations produced by hybrids or species. There are chances that the buds/flowers could dry up in transit during Shipping after packing.
