Catasetum (FDK) Painted Desert x Alexa 'Good One' is a beautiful black Catasetum orchid. Another one from the master himself, Fred Clarke. One of the best almost black orchids available. Very waxy. Easy growing variety, These plants are now available with good new growths. The large flowers are really amazing!  These new crosses have superior genetics and are producing some really superb flowers.

In the growing months provide plenty of light, heat, water, and fertilizer during the spring and summer months. After or during the flowering season it is common for these plants to drop all of their leaves. Reduce or stop watering and fertilizer once the flowers have finished, then resume a normal watering schedule when new growth emerges.
