Vanda Care Guide
Vanda Care Guide
Vandaceous plants require daily watering and in the summer probably twice a day. Spray the water on the roots until the grey roots turns green. You can also soak the roots once in a week with fertilizer water, if the plants appear dehydrated. Learn more about watering here
Ascocentropsis pusilla Sp. is a species of vanda orchid native to Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. A miniature species producing 1 cm tiny pink flowers. the inflorescence blooms as a bunch of 4 or more flowers. These plants are mounted, so make sure to spray water at least 2 times a day in summer.
These orchids are all epiphytic. They do not like any potting medium. Vanda orchid must not be allowed to dry out entirely. Saturate the roots with water every time you water, which means the roots should turn green and retain a drop of water at the tip. Watering of these Vandas must be done with care to prevent water from remaining in the crowns ( top leaves), a condition that can cause crown rot.
1. Colors, patterns & size of the flowers can vary due to the variations produced by hybrids or species.
2. There are chances that the buds/flowers could dry up in transit during Shipping after packing.
3. The local climatic conditions, season and the nutrition given can affect the brightness & colour intensity of flowers.
4. While we make every effort to match the actual colours of the flowers, the photographs may not be the exact representation, due to different monitor settings.
