Short Description: Paphiopedilum Vanguard is one of the best multifloral hybrids, using selected parents. It is a cross of Paph. glaucophyllum x Paph. rothschildianum. It is considered a "primary hybrid" because it is a cross between two species. The flower has excellent shape and size, and has nice dark contrasting veins. limited Stock!!!

Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. Plants will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.

As always, water low in salts is a must. Plants should be kept evenly moist and provided with moderate light as for phalaenopsis.

Paphiopedilum orchids are also called as lady's slipper orchid as the lip of the flower resembles a ladies shoe. Paphiopedilums flower on each new growth once matures, with the older growths remaining on the plant to provide energy for the new plants. Older growths will eventually die off as new growths continue to emerge.
