Short Description: Cattleya intermedia sp. native to Brazil. Cattleya intermedia is a coastal species, the species is adaptable to a variety of cultural conditions. Quite tolerant of cooler conditions than many other bifoliate cattleyas. Compact growth habit. Plants are generally from 5-8" tall while flowers can be up to 4" in size. The main attraction of Cattleya intermedia is the variety of this single species. The fragrance resembles the roses. An easy to grow species and suitable for the beginner. It is better not to allow the medium to get completely dry for long periods. Plants were imported barefoot, Potted in Pine bark, now rooted well.
