Psychopsis papilio is a species, native to Trinidad, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. The Butterfly Psychopsis produces single flowers on 60 to 120-cm-long spikes and can flower for 18 - 20 months consecutively, one flower at a time. The flowers are 13-15 cm long-wide and are long-lasting. From a distance, the flower actually looks like a butterfly fluttering. Easy to grow plants, grow them like oncidiums. They do not like to dry out completely and do not require a winter rest period.
