Short Description: Schomburgkia tibicinis sp. is native to Mexico and the South American countries. A common name for the species is the trumpet player's Schomburgkia. Warm to hot growing epiphytic Orchid. The cylindric pseudobulbs are hollow, and have gaps. In their native,in the wild, Ants enter these gaps and make their homes in these hollow psedudobulbs. The spikes are really really long, erect ranging from 8 to15 feet in height with fragrant flowers opening successively in a cluster at the apex, the spikes are high up in the air like they are in space so that they do not break.
